Helping Youth

Youth are a very important part of all communities. The Annual Karori Youth Awards recognise in a positive way, the ‘service to others' young people make in their community be it school, sport, club or interest activity. We assist youth to take part in life and leadership development and in Youth Exchange programmes. An area of concern is family violence and abuse. As we cannot directly assist, we do so by financial grants to specialist organisations and services.

We also sponsor a limited number of local students on the Rotary Youth Exchange Scheme.

The Object of the Rotary Youth Exchange is to enable young adults to learn different way of living, they also act as an ambassador, teaching people they meet about our country, culture, and ideas. They can help bring the world closer - and make some good friends in the process.
